What are the main Los Angeles airports, and how do I get from them to central Los Angeles?

The main international airport in Los Angeles is the massive Los Angeles International. While there are smaller, regional airports, the majority of international flights land in LAX. Thankfully, it’s also the closest airport to downtown LA, so you’ll be right where you need to be.

Los Angeles / LAX: LAX is located about 12 miles from downtown LA, so it’s typically pretty easy (although not always quick) to get into the city. From the airport, you can get downtown via Uber/Lyft ($45-60), the Flyaway bus shuttle ($15) or the Metro ($3). The Metro is the cheapest option, but isn’t as convenient. Uber is the most convenient, but can be quite expensive depending on the current traffic conditions.
