Flights to America
Do I need a visa?
You don’t need a visa to travel to the US if you are planning on staying 90 days or less. However, you will need to fill out (and be approved for) an ESTA Visa Wavier. You can apply for the visa waiver online and it only takes about 20 minutes. You’ll also need to pay $14USD (about $20AUD) for your application. Once approved, your visa waiver is valid for two years or when your passport expires, whichever comes first. Studying abroad in the States? Things to do in America
New York City
New York City is known as “The City that Never Sleeps,” and when you visit, you’ll see why—there’s literally always something to do! Climb the Empire State Building, stroll through Central Park, see the Statue of Liberty and Times Square, grab a slice of authentic New York pizza—the list is literally endless.
Too cold to visit the East Coast? Head to the sunny West Coast where you can explore famous Los Angeles. Hike to the Hollywood sign, explore Hollywood Boulevard and visit incredible beaches like Santa Monica, Malibu, and Venice Beach. While you’re here, you could also explore cities like San Francisco, Seattle or Las Vegas—they’re just a short flight away.
If it’s an adventure you’re looking for, the US has plenty of adventure among some of the most stunning scenery in the world. Visit one of the 58 National Parks—Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone are all big hitters—and gear up for a hiking or backpacking trip.
Road Trips: One of the best ways to see the USA is to rent a van and get driving! The US is one of the ultimate road trip destinations because there’s so much to explore and driving is one of the best ways to do it. Route 66, stretching from Los Angeles to Chicago, is arguably the most famous route, but there are plenty of other amazing road trip routes to explore too.
